Aimee and Dan’s Elkins Park Wedding

After performing at hundreds of corporate and private events that require hours of preparation and an audience of hundreds, an intimate wedding stands out from the crowd. Many clients will ask me things like, “what is the most memorable party you’ve done” or “what is the craziest thing you’ve seen at a party”? Although those answers are easy to come by – because we see a lot of crazy stuff at parties – they often tend to blur together and become the norm, rather than the exception.

Aimee and Dan shared their nuptials on Sunday May 27, 2018 at Congregation Kol Ami in Elkins Park, PA. This is an event that stands above other because it was small and full of joy. Living halfway across the country will pull people away from their friends and their family, so this day was about more than a wedding, it was a reunion.

Setting the romantic tone for the day was Vivaldi filling the air with strings and sending the message of love to the crowd. There was one sound that overwhelmed the music at times and it was laughter. Laughter could be heard during the ceremony and throughout the reception as Aimee and Dan shared the afternoon with their closest companions.

Kicking off the reception with their first dance to “Better Together” by Jack Johnson, a loving toast by the parents of our Bride and a tasty lunch led into a day that balanced dancing and laughter-filled discussion. Guests packed the floor for the “Cupid Shuffle” and the “Cha Cha Slide” and sang “Don’t Stop Believing” with mouths full of cake! The day was not without surprises as Dan requested some Wu-Tang Clan to end the night.
