This past June, I had the pleasure of doing the Bat Mitzvah for the daughter of some very good friends of the owner of Cutting Edge Entertainment, and let me tell you… there is nothing like the extra pressure of knowing that your boss might be stopping by. However – my boss happens to have really cool friends, and Belle’s parents were no exception. I had met them prior to them coming in to our office. but when we finally got together to hammer out the details,I knew that they were going to be a lot of fun. At first, we played a little bit of Jewish geography and then we started to talk and plan out Belle’s Bat Mitzvah.
Belle can be summed up in one word… awesome! She was excited and enthusiastic from start to finish, and as it would turn out, her friends were equally cool. The theme for the Bat Mitzvah was candy, which is one of my favorite themes incorporating virtually unlimited colors, fun centerpieces and all sorts of other extremely creative ideas. This party was held at The Fuge which is an awesome venue for a party. From the moment cocktail hour ended I could feel the infectious energy just boiling over. The adults and the kids rocked with us on the dance floor until it was time for the grand entrance and there isn’t a better place if you want to come in like a star (or from the stars). Belle was waiting in the Centrifuge chamber, and emerged from a cloud of smoke in quite a dramatic introduction. It was awesome.
The kids participated in every game, contest, dance and activity. My staff and I had them involved in all the games and then jammed out to all the latest dances while the adults finished their meals. After the adults finished, they came out and joined the kids on the dance floor, dancing from classics like The Jackson Five and Whitney Houston all the way thru to today’s hits. It was great to see so many familiar faces out there on the dance floor celebrating, quite a few of whom I’d performed as MC and DJ at their children’s Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah.
Thank you to Boris from Classic Photo and Video for allowing us to use these images, and to the staff of The Fuge. Most importantly, Mazel Tov to Belle, her parents Lisa and Lee and her cool little brother Sam. Thank you for allowing me and my staff to celebrate in your Simcha. You were a lot of fun to work with and I look forward to seeing you all again soon.
A few weeks after the event, Belle’s parents left this five-star review on Facebook…
Cutting Edge did our daughter’s Bat Mitzvah in June. What an incredible party it was and Cutting Edge was a huge part of that. From our first meeting to the end of the party everything was awesome. Marc was our MC and he and his staff were highly energetic and kept the party going. The dancers were top notch and the adults enjoyed them as much as the kids. If you are looking to have a party that rocks wit h a staff that knows how to treat their clients the right way you have to hire Cutting Edge!
