Heather & Divyesh’s Union Trust Wedding
A typical wedding usually will take on the persona of the guests of honor. From my first meeting with Heather & Divyesh at Cutting Edge Entertainment, I knew that this was going to be a fun wedding. Both Heather & Divyesh have attractive personalities that draw you to them. Heather is always smiling & laughing, while Divyesh cracks jokes, or holds conversations about any number of topics. Our wrap-up meeting (the meeting we hold with our clients a few weeks before the event to gather final details) lasted much longer than usual, as we sat talking about music, the wedding, dancing, families and more.
Heather & Divyesh chose a breathtaking venue in the Union Trust, located in downtown Philadelphia. The purple uplighting raced up the walls, spilling onto the high ceilings of the converted bank building adding a regal feel to the event. The up level, where cocktail hour took place, has a magnificent bar with the purple uplighting to match the walls. After cocktail hour, the guests made their way down the grand staircase to the main reception area.
Once the first dance, dinner & toasts, including some stories from Divyesh’s Marine adventures, were concluded, the party really got crazy. For being two “non-dancers” as they had described themselves, Heather & Divyesh did not leave the dance floor the entire evening, except to run over to the photo booth (which DJ Matt & I tested) to take hilarious pictures with all of the guests.
The party rocked to everything from “Shout” to Robin S., to “It Takes Two” to Andy Grammer. Divyesh & the groom’s men even gave a “Lip Sync Battle” worthy ‘performance’ to “Roar” by Katy Perry. The night was filled with laughs, fun & memories. I had so much fun DJing the wedding, that I couldn’t even believe it was time to end.
