Sarah & Zack’s Wedding at the Morris Arboretum

On a beautiful summer afternoon, I had the privilege to DJ Sarah and Zack’s wedding at the Morris Arboretum in Philadelphia. The day was just stunning. The sun was shining and the flowers and trees at the arboretum looked breath taking. After the outdoor ceremony in the rose garden, the guests made their way up to the main building for the reception. Within minutes of arriving on the porch outside, everyone was mingling and sharing stories. The evening had a festive feel, which was only amplified by the wonderful surroundings. Even during cocktail hour, people were up on the dance floor, excited for the celebration at hand. Some of the crowd had travelled quite a bit to make the party, including the bride and groom, so everyone was extremely happy to be part of the special day.

Once Sarah and Zack had finished pictures in the garden, the night really kicked off. After their introduction and first dance, Zack’s brother (the best man) hosted the next portion of the night. He brought up various family members to give toasts, share stories and memories with the crowd. It was all well organized, and one of the most entertaining “toasts” I’ve witnessed.

After dinner, everyone was ready to dance. They jumped out of their seats, and didn’t leave the dance floor for the rest of the evening. The night itself was clear and cool, so everyone felt wonderful dancing the night away. After the last song, Usher’s “Yeah,” no one was ready to go home. Sarah and Zack made their way around to every guest to say goodbye, and each guest went home with a smile on his or her face as big as Sarah and Zack’s…perhaps. What a fun and amazing group of people. I think I had just as much fun as all of the guests. Thank you to everyone at the Morris Arboretum, thank you to Kateryn Silva for the fantastic pictures, and of course, thank you to Sarah and Zack for allowing me to be part of your special day!
