Parese and Nick’s wedding reception was held on Saturday, January 4th at the Sheraton Hotel in King of Prussia, and they chose Cutting Edge Entertainment provide the DJ and music. We have been done a lot of parties and events at the Sheraton Valley Forge Hotel, and looking at our upcoming calendar of events, it looks like we have many more in the future.
I met with Parese and Nick a few weeks prior to their wedding. We call this meeting the ‘wrap-up meeting”, because it’s where we go over all the final details with the couple regarding their wedding reception, and the role we are expected to play. We go over an entire time line with them, so they help plan the exact order of all the formalities, while we review their music selections as well. Each wedding is different and it is very important that we take the time to get to know the bride and groom, in order to best serve them. I want to learn what kind of music they like, and more importantly which kinds they don’t like. One of my goals for each wedding I do is to make sure I give the bride and groom the wedding that they have envisioned. This is a big day in both of their lives, and I make it my mission to make their wedding even better than they imagined.
Once we introduced everyone, the bride and groom took the center stage for their first dance as husband and wife. After the formalities ended dinner was brought out by the staff. As the DJ, I’m always please to see well-fed guests, as this group was going to need their energy, because once dinner was over it’s time to celebrate. Like most of my weddings, this was a great group who were out on the dance floor all night, singing along while I played “I Want You Back” by the Jackson Five, and twisting the night away with “The Twist” by Chubby Checker, and of course playing plenty of fun Greek music. A great party with only one negative side effect at the end… a lot of sore feet; quite common when dancing for two hours straight.
The bride and groom were wonderful to work with. They are blessed to have a multitude of family and friends that love to dance, which made the party a great time for all. Of course it’s always a privilege to work at the Sheraton Hotel. The photographer was the very awesome Maria Mack Photography. Finally, a big thank you to Parese and Nick (the bride & groom) for having us DJ the wedding. Congratulations, and all the best!
