Elise and Brian’s Loews Philadelphia Wedding

bride and groom

October 12th 2013, was a very busy day for me and the rest of the DJ team here at Cutting Edge Entertainment. In fact, I am sure it was a busy day for most Wedding DJs, photographers, caterers, and other wedding vendors all over the Philadelphia area. It seems a lot of couples were married on that date, and they couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day.

Now out of all the people that got married on October 12th I would like to nominate my clients Elise and Brian as being the ultimate coolest bride and groom of the day. I know a lot of other brides and grooms may want to debate this, but they weren’t at the wedding I had the opportunity to DJ. Elise and Brian are the type of people who just give off such an upbeat vibe, and after ten seconds of being in their company you find yourself smiling. They have such positive energy that it’s just contagious. I can understand why they have so many friends and family that love them and were down to celebrate with them at the wedding reception.

This was a wedding that I was anticipating for months, just because I knew it was going to be blast. The wedding was held at the Loews Hotel, which is a venue I have worked at many, many times. Once cocktail hour ended, we brought everyone in to the ballroom and began our introductions. The parents, bridal party, and bride and groom each had came out and the guests were cheering so hard it almost overpowered the music. Once the first dance and toasts were finished, everyone enjoyed an amazing meal courtesy of the staff of the Loews Hotel. Once dinner ended, we quickly got everyone out on the dance floor. I played everything from “Land of a Thousand Dances” by Wilson Picket to “Wake Me Up” by Avicii as well as tons of other great party hits in between. The bride and groom were out on the dance floor nearly the entire night, along with their roughly two hundred guests. It was a great time for all.

Adeline and the rest of the staff at the Loews Hotel did a great job, as they always do. It is always a pleasure working together with them and I look forward to my next opportunity. I also had the opportunity to work with Artistic Imagery. They did a great job and I appreciate them letting us use these images on our blog. Congratulations once again to Elise and Brian, it was a pleasure to be your Wedding DJ.

-Richie

A few weeks after the wedding Elise and Brian posted the following testimonial on Wedding Wire…

Cutting Edge was absolutely awesome to work with. Richie Abrams was our DJ and he was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. It was very clear to me and my now-husband that Richie was very professional and would not only play great music but keep the evening running smoothly from start to finish. He emphasized that it was his job to make sure that there wasn’t any downtime during our wedding where the guests weren’t sure what was going on, where to be, etc. and he more than delivered on that promise! The music was fantastic and the dance floor was packed the whole time. We had a couple of offbeat requests and he made them all happen! Many of the guests commented that our wedding was one of the most fun weddings they’d ever been to and that they loved the music. We also had Richie provide music for our ceremony, which was perfect. I would definitely recommend working with Richie to anyone planning a wedding or a big event!
