2011 was a busy year for Cutting Edge Entertainment, as well as myself. Occasionally, some events blend into the background while other jump to the forefront. The wedding of Staci and Steve on November 20th is one that jumps to the head of the pack. I believe that every party is unique. The ability to make each reception the best it can be begins when I meet the clients. Each wedding is prepared two to three weeks before the wedding, when we have our clients come in and meet with their DJ at our office.
I would have to say one of the most memorable things about Staci and Steve’s wedding was our pre-wedding meeting, namely because it lasted almost four hours. We listened and picked out all the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. I also helped them select music for the grand entrances, bouquet toss, garter, and cake cutting. I had a lot of fun sitting with them both, and going over every last detail for the wedding. As we settled on each song selection you could sense their excitement as their vision was becoming a reality.
The wedding was held at Spring Mill Manor, which is a venue we have played at many times in the past. The staff there is always on top of all their game and they know how to keep a reception running smoothly. Another friendly face at this wedding was Gabriel, the photographer of Déjà vu Studios. Cutting Edge Entertainment has had an outstanding relationship with him going back a few years now. Being able to team up with these other wedding professionals helps to make my job a breeze and overall helped make a flawless reception.
Steve and Staci were an awesome couple to get to work with. Whenever you have a groom take the microphone and bust a rap for his bride and all of his guests you know it’s truly a “party”. Staci was on the dance floor from the moment dinner ended, dancing alongside her bridal party, family, and friends.
Thank you, so much to Steve and Staci for letting us rock out your wedding!!
