In November of 2011, I has the honor of being chosen as the DJ for Roger and Jennifer’s wedding reception, held at Drexelbrook, in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. The first time I met Jennifer was actually a few years prior at her cousin’s wedding, where I was also the DJ. She remembered having a great time at the reception, so when Roger proposed and they began planning their wedding, she contacted me. A few days later we had our initial consultation at our office, to go over the wedding details. Shortly into the meeting, Roger mentioned that this was going to be their easiest decision, because Jennifer remembered me from the previous wedding and had such a great time. At the wedding I got to reconnect with Jennifer’s cousin and her husband, and meet their new baby. This was the first time I had seen her in a few years and it was awesome to catch-up. Now with Facebook, it has become a little easier to stay in touch with past clients, which is something I really enjoy.
This wedding had a lot of younger guests who were out on the dance floor immediately once dinner concluded. Of course, having the bride and groom out there partying always makes it easy to get others to join in, and I played mostly current dance hits from artists such as Rihanna and Pitbull to accommodate the young and energetic guests. This was a very fun wedding to DJ, but that’s easy to say when you have a crowd like this one. The staff at Drexelbrook did an excellent job accommodating the roughly two hundred-plus guests. They provided excellent food, service, and added the up lighting to the ballroom which looked fantastic. This was my first time working with photographer Sean Marshall Lin and I hope to do it again in the future. He captured the action on the dance floor, beautifully, and these are definitely amongst some of my favorite pictures to have featured on the blog.
Thank you so much to Jennifer and Roger, and I wish you all the best.
