N.A.C.E. Presents Kosher Catering at Barclay

The Philadelphia N.A.C.E. chapter (National Association of Catering Executives) held its May 2009 meeting at Barclay Caterers and it was a huge success, and probably one of the best N.A.C.E. programs I have been to in a long time.

Steven Hellinger – one of the owners of Barclay – gave an outstanding presentation to the attendees regarding the dos and don’ts of Kosher catering, ending up in the kitchen of Barclay’s 18,000 square foot facility in Northeast Philadelphia.  also in attendance was Ian Drossner, who is the son of Steven’s business partner Larry Drosner, and many of the other key Barclay players like Chuck, Joel and Chef Trevor, and of course Steven’s beautiful wife Fern.

On a more personal note, being that I have known Steve and the Barclay staff for many years now and we have worked together on literally hundreds of events (we DJ a lot of Bar & Bat Mitzvahs), I have to say that Steven Hellinger will certainly be an invaluable addition to the N.A.C.E. organization.  Steve is a true professional, and the Barclay team has in my experience always provided a service and quality that far exceeds expectation.  Barclay Caterers – having been in business since 1966 – has almost half a century of experience in the food service industry, having outlasted most of their kosher niche competition.  Kudos go out to N.A.C.E. Philly president Adam Rineer for bringing Barclay into the fold, and the N.A.C.E. Philly team for putting together such an amazing program.

Barclay Caterers  are the preferred vendor at twenty seven locations in and around the Philadelphia area, and if you are planning a wedding or bar/bat mitzvah I would highly reccomend speaking with them as they are – in my humble opinion – one of the very best in the city.
