Client Testimonial: Laura Nachman

Around three years ago, I was in the green room of ‘It’s Your Call’ with Lynn Doyle to be part of a panel discussion about American Idol.

Also, in the room was a young singer – Brianna Taylor – who had made the top 40 of the show, and with her was a man named Craig Sumsky.

Craig introduced himself and mentioned that he owned the entertainment company, Cutting Edge Entertainment, where Brianna formerly was a dancer and singer.

At the time, my oldest child was 12, and I told him maybe I’d need his services, since her Bat Mitzvah was coming up.  We exchanged cards, then went our seperate ways.

To my surprise, a few months later, Craig followed up with a call.  I thought he was very friendly and started asking around about him.  It ended up that a good friend of mine used him for her daughter’s Bat Mitzvah a few years before and thought he was great.

That was enough for me.  We booked him for our event.

When it was time to plan the party, Craig walked us through everything.  A traditional part of a Bar/Bat Mitzvah is the candle-lighting ceremony, where various members of the family walk up to the front of the room and light a candle.  I was concerend about that because my mother is disabled and I knew it would be an uncomfortable situation. Craig came up with a solution where just my daughter lit one candle for everybody.  That worked out perfectly. I would have never thought of that on my own.

Then he planned out the five-hour event.  It was coordinated so that the kids and adults were entertained the entire time.

Craig’s “party movtivators,” Tony and Kelly were a big plus, as they helped keep the 65 young adults at the event happy (quite a feat).

I received so many compliments from my guests about Craig, the party motivators, the music, the games, and the great tone that was set from the beginning.

I am so happy that I hired Cutting Edge and I’ll hire them again for my next child’s Bar Mitzvah.

Laura and I first met while she was still writing for The Bucks County Courier Times.  I am grateful that Laura allowed me to post this here, as I have a great deal of respect for her as she helped inspire me to get involved in blogging in the first place.  Might I also say the Laura – and her daughter Macy – were a pleasure to work with as clients go and I also look forward to working with her again.
